1. Emotions: happiness,
2. Excitement, sarcasm,disappointment,
3. sorrow, fear, pain and surprise.
4. He started a textile business.He ran it for 5 years.
5. He became old. So he had to wind up the whole thing.Wind up means shutting down.
6. The speaker went on boring all the audience.
7. So the secretary  shouted  and told someone to keep Silence.
8. So the speaker understood and he was pulled up short his speech.
9. The actor pulled himself up and gain control over his actions and did his act well.
10. Giving up smoking and drinking can save you from cancer.
11. Giving up means to surrender and relinquish.
12. In the plays put up by the club,he did well .
13. In the plays staged by the club he acted well.
14. The heroine's speech stirred up his imagination and he got the right stimulation.
